Course Overview
This CPD course provides dental professionals with a comprehensive understanding of their responsibilities under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. It explains the legal, ethical, and professional standards related to data protection, with reference to GDC principles and the role of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Topics include lawful processing, handling Subject Access Requests (SARs), data breaches, consent, and practical steps to create a data-safe dental environment.
