Course Overview
This course provides dental professionals with the essential knowledge and skills to implement and maintain effective hand hygiene in accordance with HTM 01-05 and NHS infection prevention standards. Learners will explore the significance of hand hygiene, regulatory requirements, correct techniques, and how to ensure compliance in clinical settings to reduce healthcare-associated infections.

Learning Objectives

- Demonstrate correct hand hygiene techniques based on NHS guidance.
- Recognise the facilities and environmental requirements outlined in HTM 01-05.
- Understand the importance of skin care and glove use in relation to hand hygiene.
